Darby and Grayson rode on this giant John Deer at the VGM Party !
We headed to Hudson, Iowa to visit J&J Dairy
Grayson fed a week old calf named Luscious at the dairy
Darby fed a calf names Margarita
Even Mom gave it a try...
Next we tried milking a cow!
Darby was a little tentative ...
... and WOW Wallabies! How cool is this dairy?!?
Amy helped the kids make butter out of fresh cream
They shook and shook until there was yummy butter to spread on crackers!
Meanwhile back in downtown Waterloo stores were preparing for the flood ...
Houses by the Cedar River were already under water!
Wednesday we surveyed the damage...
it was the strangest thing we ever saw to see the roads covered in water...
the lowest parts of the road filled up making them impassable
Usually the water is a good 20 feet under the bottom of this bridge!
