This morning we headed west about 20 minutes to the new Creation Museum in the small town of Petersburg in the outskirts of Cincinnati. This museum only opened about one year ago and is dedicated to showing the scientific evidence that the earth is a young earth. The evidence shown here rejects the idea of evolution and supports the creation according to the Bible. It was quite interesting as it took a Catastrophism versus Uniformitarianism view of the earth’s creation. The museum was well done, interactive and was quite good in that it raised many of the contradictory issues that scientist that subscribe to the “old” earth cannot address with their evidence. It was a great opportunity to explore both sides of the issue and to learn more about the history of our country. Of particular interest was information on the Scopes trial of 1925. We enjoyed our day thoroughly at this well done museum.
What trip to Cincinnati would be complete without a visit to Skyline Chili??? We headed over there for dinner for that famous Cincinnati chili served over spaghetti. Yum! From there we strolled through downtown Cincinnati and ended up at a sports bar for dessert and a little screen time watching the College World Series. We were pretty worn out by now from this world wind trip so we headed back to the hotel and packed up to prepare for our long drive back home in the morning. 2400 miles under our belts on this Midwest Adventure Part II!
