This morning we had a great Costa Rican breakfast. Alba has given up and is now feeding the kids corn flakes! I had Huevos Torta (like an omelet) and Gallo Pinto. Delicious!

I am learning so much at school. Darby and Grayson went on a field trip into San Jose to the children’s museum. I can’t believe I let them go without me but they were safe! They enjoyed it! After Spanish class we had a cooking class and we made a soup with lots of vegetables and meat. It was pretty tasty although I steered clear of all meat products. The kids wouldn’t touch it so we went to Super Snacks again since that had been tried and true! This time Grayson and I tried the Arroz Pollo (Rice and chicken) and we split it. Darby thought she would go for the Jamon Y Queso again. After lunch the kids played with Luis and Xiomara and had a great time! I took the kids down to the “plaza” to play and they loved running around playing soccer. The kids here are so easy. They have so little and everything entertains them. We could probably learn a lesson from that.

Tonight we went out to dinner at Pollo Sus Amigos (Our Chicken Friends?). We weren’t that hungry after eating lunch so late but we tried the fried chicken and it was delicious! We all went in Luis (Papa Tico’s) little car. It is the size of a Toyota Corolla and it was the four of them, the three of us, and little Nicole, Alba’s little 18 month old grand niece. It is very typical to cram everyone in! We had a good time!
