I still feel pretty yucky today and haven’t had an appetite for days. Alba tried to convince me not to go on to Flamingo today but I am determined. The bus was good enough to come and pick us up right at the house at 1:30 PM. We picked up some other students and headed for Flamingo. I sat in the front to avoid car sickness and the kids sat in the back. They talked with a boy named Billy Grayson from Delaware and a girl from London named Emily. Darby and Grayson taught them both how to play the card game Uno. About an hour into the trip we met up with another bus and switched passengers. Those going to Monteverde went one way and we went another. We had to say good-bye to Billy.

It was a pretty long hitch to Flamingo and we arrived at 8:30 PM. We had an adorable villa. It had two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen and sitting area with a table and chairs. It was at this point that I decided that there is no comfortable furniture in Costa Rica! All of the chairs are straightback so there is very little relaxing taking place!  The villa also has a front porch with a table and chairs and an overhead fan. In the middle of the complex of villas was a cute circular swimming pool. We checked in with Mark via phone to let him know we had arrived safely; and then we retired for the evening.
