We were all excited because Daddy is coming today! We went to school as usual and Darby and Grayson got to take a cool trip to the Monkey Park. We tried to do our homework at school and finish it before the 2 PM bus since Daddy would be arriving that afternoon. I had lunch at the “rancho” – just plain rice and beans. It was nice to be able to eat something again! We got home and I was finishing up my homework and there was Mark! It was about 2:45 PM. It was amazing because his flight didn’t even get in until 1:20 PM. He had no trouble at all getting to us. He had a clear, great flight and easy exit out of the airport to meet a car we had arranged for him. He got changed and he swam in the pool with the kids all afternoon!

Later in the afternoon, we went to the beach, which is 1 block from the hotel.  The kids played in the sand for a while as Mark and I caught up on everything from the past 10 days.

We decided to go back to Marco Polo for dinner that night since it was so good. We walked along the dusty road to get there. It was a long walk but since it was light, we really got a good chance to see the village of Potrero. It looks very poor. All the houses look like sheds. It is truly amazing what we take for granted in the USA.  The furniture, for instance!  We have not sat on one comfortable stick of "furniture" the whole trip!

The food at Marco Polo was excellent again! This time I went out on a limb with my newly healed stomach and got the pasta primavera! It was delicious... and my stomach was just fine! The salads in the country are incredible! So fresh and delicious! We turned in about 9 PM exhausted. Getting up at 6 AM for class really has worn us out!
