This is the only museum in the country solely dedicated to WWI

The tower was constructed as a memorial in 1926

The view of Kansas City from the tower was great

The glass bridge spans the field of 9,000 Poppies

Each poppy represents 1,000 soldiers killed in combat in WWI

We loved all the exhibits here because we had just studied WWI in history this year

There were lots of interactive exhibits for kids

This sign from WWI became an icon for all of the twentieth century

There was so much to see - three hours really wasn't long enough!

Darby stands in the replica of a crater like those found all over Europe in WWI

Grayson wants to hold the tower in his hand!

Cool kids strike a pose

Mom joins in on the pose!
