Darby and Grayson at the Hoover Historic Site

It was an amazingly beautiful day

The Quaker Meeting house where Hoover's family worshiped
There are two doors because men and women entered and worshiped on separate sides

Our Park Ranger Amanda has us segregated as
we learn more about the Meeting House

Hoover's humble boyhood home

Inside Hoover's home

Hoover's father's blacksmith shop

Hoover spent many a time sitting in here while his father worked

The one room schoolhouse where Hoover was educated
There were 2 portraits inside - one of George Washington and one of Abe Lincoln

Inside the schoolhouse - the portrait of George Washington remains hanging

These desks look comfortable!
