Today was an easy day after such a busy day yesterday. We headed out of Bangor by 8:30 am and headed due west toward New Hampshire on a lot of back roads. It was about 3.5 hours to New Hampshire and our plan was to drive through White Mountains National Forest. We stopped for a quick lunch in the town of Twin Mountain and then headed south through Crawford Notch State Park. We looked for covered bridges and waterfalls and found a few which we posed by. It was a pretty drive -- but long. We ended up in the small town of Littleton, NH at Chutter's General Store which boasts the longest candy counter in the world as certified by the Guiness Book of World Records. We all had to partake in a small white bag of candy! Some of the bags were smaller than others!
