Today we got up and headed to school. The kids’ teacher is named Jessica and she is really good. In my class this week we are learning to conjugate irregular verbs.

Darby, Claudia, and Grayson |
After class we went up to the bank with another student we met named Claudia. Claudia is from Switzerland and she is staying until March 10 to study. Another girl from Quebec also walked up with us. After exchanging some money we took a look at Flamingo Resort. CPI students are allowed to use the resort facilities to swim. The kids talked me into taking the 2 PM bus back to the villa and then coming back up to the resort to swim; and then catching the 5 PM bus back to the cabana. Victor (the bus driver) dropped us off at 2 PM and then swung back around 10 minutes later to take us up to the resort. The kids LOVE Victor! (See January 28th to see photos of Victor)
We enjoyed hanging out at the pool all afternoon. The kids enjoyed an ice cream at the Monkey Bar at the resort. After swimming, we cleaned up and caught a cab over to a restaurant I had heard about called Marco Polo. They had outstanding Italian food. The pizza was an excellent price. It was about $5 for a pretty good sized pizza. Our waiter was really nice and spoke English. We cabbed it back to the villa, did our homework, and called it a night! The cab ride was 1500 Colones – about $3.50 each way.
